Olivia Holland, Founder & Director
Olivia Holland is a qualified and gifted English teacher. She specialises in teaching primary and secondary aged children who need assistance with their reading, writing and phonemic awareness. She also runs creative writing classes to inspire young writers and develop their storytelling ability.
In addition, Olivia teaches gifted learners, high school students in English to HSC Year 12 and English as a second language. She has worked in schools in Australia, America and England. She works with teachers on literacy knowledge, effective teaching strategies and literacy development. Olivia believes in explicit teaching methods with positive reinforcements and fostering confidence and independence in all her students. She has given talks to family and community groups about all aspects of literacy. Olivia has been owner/operator of the highly successful Literacy Circle Castle Hill centre for the past 5 years, which now operates as the newly named Australian Literacy Academy. |
